Content creation is a full time job when you’re running an online business and there are a lot of puzzle pieces to putting together value packed content. However, worrying about images should not be at the top of your list.
Some elements of your business where stock images or video may be useful include:
- Sales pages
- Landing pages
- Freebies
- Quizzes
- Social media content
- Print marketing
- Pinterest Pins
- PDF’s / workbooks
- Presentation slides (hello coaches!)
Here are some of my favourite websites for beautiful visuals that you can use on social media, Pinterest, your website, welcome packages and more!
My most frequently used sites are Unsplash and Pexels personally, but I often take a peek at these other sites to compare and see if there’s something unique that I haven’t seen used before. I find it good to mix it up so that you’re not using images that you’re seeing other people use everywhere.
Once you start downloading your favourite stock images, I recommend starting a dropbox or google drive folder so that you can easily access them. Bonus points if you organize them by category for those times when you are looking for the perfect picture at the last minute.
If you use Canva as much as me, you’ll also find a great variety of stock images on their platform. However, one of the features I love the most about Canva is the “upload” section where I can upload my favourite stock images that have been downloaded from other sites (like the ones mentioned above), so that when I start designing my marketing material I can pull them into my design directly from Canva (since I would have already uploaded them there!). This is also helpful so that I can keep track of which images I have already used in certain designs from the past to avoid double dipping. I often find myself drawn to the same images over and over again, anyone else?!
Drop a comment below if you have a favourite stock image site that you use, especially if it’s not listed here so we can all add to this list!
Thanks for being here, and as always, I promise to remind you that the best is yet to come!
